Guy falls asleep during Twitch stream, wakes up to find hundreds of people watching him

Over the weekend, Twitch user JesseDStreams fell asleep during a live stream; three hours later, he woke up to find 200 people were still watching him.

When he started the stream titled “Streaming Just Chatting: Chilling on the couch”, he pretty much did just that. He watched some TV, munched on some Doritos and didn’t do much at all until accidentally falling asleep two hours in.

JesseDStreams, who has a small Twitch channel with 50 videos and around 2000 followers, must have the most loyal audience on the planet. Not content with watching him do pretty much nothing for two hours, they STILL kept following him for more than three more hours!

Almost six hours into his stream – yes, six hours, the time it would take to watch the whole Matrix trilogy, read 200 pages of Anna Karenina or listen to Led Zeppelin’s entire discography – JesseDStreams wakes up a bit confused. The first thing Sleeping Beauty does is check out the chat, only to realise he’s got hundreds of people looking at him and donations still pouring his way.

When JesseDStreams’ audience noticed he’d stirred from his slumber, the live chat (which you can view by watching the clip on Twitch) erupted with comments like “SIGNS OF LIFE”, “HE LIVES” and “rise and shine”.
