Ikea and SONOS have combined forces to create a sound system that brings music and home living together.
The two companies have jointly created ‘Symfonisk’ (three guesses to who got to name this one), a smart speaker that can be strategically placed to blend in with furniture.
This is only the first creation in a long-term partnership between the two brands, so we can expect more to come.
Ikea has already started to release smart home products, including smart lights and plugs, but mixing music with furniture will make Symfonisk the first of its kind.
There’s little indication yet as to what price the Symfonisk will sell for in Australia, but the two companies have promised the price will be at a “level where [they] can reach many homes”.
The Symfonisk is scheduled to be released in August this year.
