Twitter is in fierce debate over a simple question: How do you draw an ‘X’?

Today in things-you-don’t-think-about-until-a-tweet-causes-an-existential-crisis, people are arguing over the correct way to write one of the simplest characters in the English alphabet.

How many different ways can there be? It turns out that if you take into account all possible sequences of the normal two-stroke method, there are eight options.

I had no idea how I write an ‘X’ until I grabbed a pen and the nearest piece of paper. Turns out I’m a five, and I’ve thus decided anyone who uses methods one, two, three, four, six, seven or eight is an amoral Neanderthal with porridge for brains.
