Based on community feedback following the launch of Red Dead Online, Rockstar Games has announced a series of adjustments to improve the hit title’s multiplayer component.
Although half the world is praising Red Dead Redemption since its release, the implementation of Red Dead Online has been a bit bumpy. Users all around the world have reported problems accessing the beta: some complaining about constantly being kicked out of sessions for no reason, others experiencing a flurry of in-game glitches.
The company has apparently taken note of the feedback and posted a week one update listing a series of adjustments:
- Cash and gold payments will be increased across a number of activities, including “Showdown Series” modes, Free Roam events, Free Roam missions and replays of “A Land of Opportunities” missions.
- Prices of most weapons in the Wheeler, Rawson & Co Catalogue and Gunsmiths will be reduced. The company will refund the price difference to players who have already purchased items from today until December 10th. So keep an eye on your balance.
- The company will also balance the value of skins, select pelts, fish and horse reviver and pamphlets.
The company acknowledged the frustration of users and promises many of the fixes will go live next week. They also state that this phase of fine tuning has just begun, as they will continue to improve the game as new player feedback rolls in.
Do you want to hear some more good news? The company is going to compensate users for their patience with a special Christmas gift:
“As an added thank you for playing and helping us through the beta period, we’re also awarding everyone that joined in to play the Red Dead Online Beta at any point through midnight PST today with a gift of RDO$250 and 15 Gold Bars. Gifts should start arriving today and will hit all eligible players by Friday, December 14th.”
