A new ride-sharing platform is expanding operations across Australia

If you live in Brisbane, Canberra or the Gold Coast, we bring you good news: Ola is now available in your city.

The ride-sharing platform’s expansion into these cities follows its launch in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth earlier this year.

The company reports it now has 30,000 drivers registered in Australia, making it a viable competitor to Uber (in addition to Taxify in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne).

If you’re keen on trying out a new ride-sharing provider, Ola is slinging discounted rides to promote their launch in three new Australian cities.

See below for deets based on where you live.

Brisbane/Gold Coast: One free ride up to $20, valid for one week from when you sign up.

Canberra: 50% off rides up to $10, valid for one week from the date of sign-up (claim using the code CAN50).

You won’t be able to get these discounted rides for long, so get ’em while they’re hot! You’ll just need to snag the Ola app from the App Store or the Google Play Store.

If you live in Adelaide, Darwin or Hobart and are feeling a little sad that you’ve been left out, stress less! Ola is planning to come to you in the near future, so keep your eyes (ears?) peeled.

Founded in 2010, Ola has grown to become one of the world’s largest ride-sharing platforms with more than 1,000,000 drivers operating in more than 110 cities around the world.
