A spoiler-ridden listing on Walmart Canada’s website has revealed some of the biggest upcoming video games of 2018 before most of the titles were officially released.
The blunder might have sucked up most of the secrets from this year’s E3 expo, revealing the launch of unannounced and highly anticipated games like a new Splinter Cell, Gears of War 5, another entry in the Assassin’s Creed series, Borderlands 2, Just Cause 4, Rage 2, Lego DC Villains and more.
The entries were included in Walmart’s “new game releases” but have now been deleted. Luckily for us, Twitter user Warrio64 was quick enough to take a screenshot and ruin the surprise.

While some of the titles were previously rumoured and have been a favourite gossip topic among fans, others come completely out of the blue.
The Division 2, for example, was announced in March, and a new Assassin’s Creed is something fans expect every year.
But Borderlands 3 and the new Splinter Cell, however, were games almost nobody thought would drop in 2018. Rage 2 and Just Cause 4 are also two huge shockers.
The Last of Us 2, Dragon Quest Builders 2, Beyond Good and Evil 2, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake are the other eye-popping appearances on the list that not too many could’ve predicted.
We know none of these announcements is official, and we’ll have to wait for E3 – which can be live streamed in Australia – for the final word on this, but this leak does give fans something to look forward to.
E3, the premier trade event for the video game industry, will be held in Los Angeles across June 12-14.
