When a recent graduate asked this week’s Q&A panel about youth issues such as housing affordability, job security, and financial opportunity, he was met with the usual political answers.
Chris Bowen, the Labor representative, claimed that the government’s tax plan was flawed and negative gearing needed to be abolished, while Angus Taylor defended his party’s tax plan, claiming it would create more opportunities for full-time work.
But the questioner was having none of it. In the midst of the discussion on his question, he interjected with a heartfelt story highlighting his struggle, and that of his peers.
