If you have a million dollar app idea, you would think you’d want to keep your genius ideas to yourself.
But on Reddit, nothing is sacred, not even the imaginary money-making apps people have put hours of thought into.
Posted on AskReddit, user gorbishi2 posed Redditors a question that has since garnered more than 11,000 comments: “Reddit, what’s your million dollar app idea that you never built?”
Users were quick to bare their souls and explain their app ideas to the forum.
The most interesting thing while reading these Redditor app ideas?
Realising someone has already had the same idea before. An app for Uber-like boat rides? Already established in Croatia. A laundry app that helps residents coordinate their washing? Yup, you can download it. Hmm, what about an app that keeps track of your closet? Amazon is already working on it.
If it’s disheartening to learn your app idea has already been thought of, there’s no need to worry. According to research out there, your chances of making millions off a mobile app are almost nil.
