Not long after the SSM bill was first raised in the House of Representatives, Liberal politician Tim Wilson ensured it would be a day few would forget.

Wilson took a moment to thank his partner Ryan Bolger, who he has been engaged to for the last nine years.
However, given looming changes on the SSM front, Wilson decided it would be best to propose once again.
Previously, the SSM bill had been passed in the Senate with few issues.
It is expected to be upheld by the House of Representatives.
