It’s happening, you guys! It’s actually happening.
Today is a good day, the rumours have finally been confirmed – the Bluths are back and we’re getting an Arrested Development Season 5.
Mitch Hurwitz, the series creator, announced that the show will make its triumphant return to Netflix AND all your faves are gonna be there:
So that means Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, Will Arnett, David Cross, Portia de Rossi, Tony Hale, Alia Shawkat and the great man Ron Howard is coming back to narrate.
Hurwitz’s eccentric announcement even came with a subtle jab at the Trumps:
“In talks with Netflix we all felt that stories about a narcissistic, erratically behaving family in the building business — and their desperate abuses of power — are really underrepresented on TV these days.
I am so grateful to them and to 20th TV for making this dream of mine come true in bringing the Bluths, George Sr., Lucille and the kids; Michael, Ivanka, Don Jr., Eric, George-Michael, and who am I forgetting, oh Tiffany. Did I say Tiffany? — back to the glorious stream of life.”
For now, all we really know is that we’re copping a season 5 and it’s going to be released sometime in 2018.
So until then, let’s indulge ourselves in all the best Arrested Development moments since it started in 2004.
